Mar 27, 2009 The problem is not that the actual server is running slow, it's AD Users and Computers changes that are very slow. I have disabled the antivirus, same thing. Checked the processes on the server, all appear normal, nothing is taking up CPU resources. Checked device manager, everything looks ok there. Setting the right performance preferences in Photoshop helps your computer run stably at the optimum speed without freezes, lags, or delays. Mar 12, 2017  why has Outlook / hotmail been running SO SLOWLY these last few weeks? I'm on the verge of ditching my outlook account which I have now had for about 16 years. It is SO slow and often I click on an email to read it and it just hangs there and does nothing at all. I opened a file (2500 lines) and I noted that scratch was really laggy, I remember when I was learning programming I used to manage large files and sublime text works flawlessly, so I install atom and kate (as appimage) and noted that all works smooth. Is scratch poor performance related with vala? Or isn't as optimized as the other programs? May 22, 2014 I ahve read somewhre that having flagged emails showing at the top cab slow things down but I've been doing that for nearly 2 yaers now and with no probelm. Its just been like this in the last 4-5 weeks on only on desktops/laptops. Could it be the flagged email thing? Thanks again.

Scratch Live 2.4.4 is primarily a maintenance release to continue the unparalleled commitment to stability and performance that Serato software is renowned for.

This version fixes some important issues for users such as:

  • Fixed an issue where playing files from the CD drive or ejecting a CD caused a crash.
  • Fixed the Kernel Panic crashes when hot-plugging the Rane SL 4 and improved hot plugging stability across all Rane devices.
  • Scratch Live can now install on Windows 8 without the need to disable Windows security settings. (NB: Windows 8 is not currently officially supported by Serato).
  • Fixed a bug where video files without audio were labelled as corrupt.
  • Fixed an issue where you couldn't save cue points, loops or auto gain values to .mov or .flv files.
  • Fixed an issue where you could get distortion when recording with the Rane Sixty-Two.
  • Fixed an issue where no audio was being recorded in Mixtape when using the Rane Sixty-Eight.
  • Fixed a bug with the Serato Video auto crossfader whereby it couldn't reach far left or right when set to a fast speed.

Alongside these changes to the software, there are also updated Rane Core Audio Drivers for use with other audio applications. These are no longer automatically installed when using the Scratch Live installer. Instead, they are now located in the Rane Device Drivers folder within the .dmg file. The Rane Core Audio drivers also have added support for OSX10.8 as well as some additional bug fixes.

That just makes for a crappy streamer. Originally posted by:First off, get a proper job, don't rely on youtube/twitch as a job, both are very unstable for anyone except for the massive streamers, and even then it isn't perfect. I'd say it's harder work to really get noticed or popular at all, however the payoff is quite a bit greater. Code streamers live stream scratch off. Do it as a side thing and if you actually can get to a point of doing it as a primary job, great. That said, Twitch is better then Youtube. Twitch is for the most part a bit nicer to it's streamers as well from what I know. Also don't stream with money as your main goal.

When you launch Photoshop, it freezes either at the splash screen displaying 'Loading Halide Bottlenecks..' or freezes/crashes during startup. This issue is caused by corrupt color profiles or really large preset files. To resolve this issue, update Photoshop to the latest version. If updating Photoshop to the latest version doesn't solve the problem, try removing the custom preset files. For instructions, see Photoshop freezes at launch.

Slowness or lags while using certain tools or features like Scrubby Zoom, Animated Zoom, Panorama, HDR, Filters, Brushes, Select And Mask, etc

  • Ensure that your computer meets the system requirements.
  • Ensure that special requirements for the feature you're using, such as GPU or OpenCL, are met.
  • Tweak your Photoshop performance preferences.
  • If the issue persists, try the steps listed in Optimize Photoshop CC performance.

Slowness at launch

  • If Photoshop was running well earlier, but has recently become slow, reset preferences.
  • Skip loading third-party plug-ins. To do so, close Photoshop and then launch it again while pressing down the Shift key.
  • Disconnect any external peripherals or drives.
  • Disable any antivirus software installed on your computer.

Slowness while accessing assets on network drives

Note: Adobe Technical Support only supports using Photoshop and Adobe Bridge on a local hard disk. It's difficult to re-create or accurately identify network- and peripheral-configuration problems.

Copy the asset to a local drive, edit in Photoshop, and then upload again to the network drive.

Slowness/crashes when Photoshop is used together with peripherals like specific printers, Wacom tablet/Cintiq, etc

  • Follow the suggestions in Photoshop crashing due to libcef.dll.
  • Update to the latest version of your peripheral’s driver.
  • Try using Photoshop with a different peripheral unit.
  • Contact the manufacturer of your peripheral for additional support.

Issues with untested/uncertified hardware (GPU, etc). Using Photoshop with uncertified hardware is not recommended.

  • Disable GPU use. Deselect Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor.
  • Ensure that the driver for your device is updated. If the problem began after you updated a driver, roll back to a previous version of the driver.

Photoshop consumes all of the customer’s system resources, such as CPU

  • Try the solutions proposed in High CPU usage due to CEPHTMLEngine.
  • Ensure that your computer/OS is optimized in general. For example, use the MSConfig utility on Windows computers.
  • Kill unnecessary processes running in the background on your computer.
  • If necessary, upgrade your computer, so that it has more resources.

Slowness or lags while working with heavy-sized assets or assets with multiple layers/files/artboards

  • Increase memory allocation for Photoshop to 80-85%.
  • Flatten any heavy layers which may be causing problems.
  • Adjust cache size. Ensure that you choose the right cache preset for the type of document you're working with.
  • Improve your computer’s hardware configuration. For example, add more RAM. Having a modern processor—for example, multi-core i3 5th generation or later processor with clock-speed 2.6 GHz or higher—may help.

Slowness while saving files or exporting assets

  • At the OS level, tweak system virtual memory/page size. Consult the documentation for your operating system (Windows or macOS).
  • Ensure that your computer has adequate free hard disk space.
  • Ensure that you have write permissions to the location to which you’re saving the file.
  • Ensure that you’re not saving the file to a network drive. That use case is unsupported.
  • Add scratch disks for Photoshop’s use (Preferences > Scratch Disks).

Issues when Photoshop is used on high-resolution monitors

At the OS level, try switching to a lower-resolution display mode. Consult the documentation for your operating system (Windows or macOS).

General slowness/crashes while using Photoshop

  • Ensure that your computer meets the system requirements for Photoshop.
  • Ensure that Photoshop and your operating system are up-to-date.
  • If your computer has multiple graphics cards, ensure that the high-performance graphics card is assigned to Photoshop instead of the Integrated Graphics or Power-Saving graphics card.
  • Skip loading third-party plug-ins. To do so, close Photoshop and then launch it again while pressing down the Shift key.
  • Increase the memory allocation for Photoshop to 80-85%.
  • Adjust cache size. Ensure that you choose the right cache preset for the type of document you're working with.
  • Disable GPU use. Deselect Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor.
  • If Photoshop was running well earlier, but has recently become slow, reset preferences.
  • Add scratch disks for Photoshop’s use (Preferences > Scratch Disks).
  • Under Preferences > 3D, lower the value of the Available VRAM For 3D setting to 80%.
  • If you're running Photoshop on a macOS computer, disable Automatic Graphic Switching from the Energy Saver System Preferences.
  • If the issue persists, try the steps listed in Optimize Photoshop CC performance.
